So I was told I was going to have a c-section. What is a c-section?

A Caesarean section, (also C-section, Caesarian section, Cesarean section, Caesar, etc.) is a surgical procedure in which one or more incisions are made through a mother's abdomen (laparotomy) and uterus (hysterotomy) to deliver one or more babies, or, rarely, to remove a dead fetus. A late-term abortion using Caesarean section procedures is termed a hysterotomy abortion and is very rarely performed. The first modern Caesarean section was performed by German gynecologist Ferdinand Adolf Kehrer in 1881.

A Caesarean section is usually performed when a vaginal delivery would put the baby's or mother's life or health at risk, although in recent times it has been also performed upon request for childbirths that could otherwise have been natural.

I had Placenta Previa and was told from the beginning that I would need one. My placenta was blocking my cervis. So if the baby decided to come, or I started getting contractions, the baby would not be able to come out. So here is my story from my eyes:

I had my last visit with my doctor Monday the 19th, where I was told what time to show up, where, what, how, and why. So I was told not to eat anything after midnight on Wednesday the 21st. Since we did not know if we would be missing Christmas with the family we had Christmas Dinner that night. We could not sleep that night. We were up still packing or trying to pack. We dosed off, dont know what time but set our clocks for 1 1/2 hours before our appointment.
December 22nd-That morning we could not wake up. It was hard. We were tired, very tired. We started loading up the truck, which we should have done the night before. We showered and got dressed. My bestfriend wanted to go with us, so we scooped her up. We then headed to the hospital. We never took a tour so we were just winging it to where we needed to be. We found the registration area, even though we were late for our 9:30 am appointment. I was asked for my ID and insurance card. Again I forgot my insurance card, but it was ok since it was on file. If not, not sure what we would have had to have done. I was checked in, and there was no turning back. They called my name and took me to prep.

I was tagged, Iv attached, and consulted by nurses, and anesthesiologist. I was scared. I was nervous. My husband went and grabbed some quick breakfast while this was being done. Then our family started to arrive to wish us well, and to pray for us. I am so glad they showed up for support not just for me but for my husband. This is his first baby. So of we go. I was taken into the operating room, very scary place. My husband again waited until he was called. The nurses from before were all in there. The anesthesiologist started getting me ready. I was given a spinal block. What is a Spinal block?

Spinal anaesthesia (or spinal anesthesia), also called spinal analgesia[citation needed] or sub-arachnoid block (SAB), is a form of regional anaesthesia involving injection of a local anaesthetic into the subarachnoid space, generally through a fine needle, usually 9 cm long (3.5 inches).

Difference from epidural anaesthesia

Epidural anaesthesia is a technique whereby a local anaesthetic drug is injected through a catheter placed into the epidural space. This technique has some similarity to spinal anaesthesia, and the two techniques may be easily confused with each other. Differences include:

-The involved space is larger for an epidural, and subsequently the injected dose is larger, being about 10–20 mL in epidural anaesthesia compared to 1.5–3.5 mL in a spinal.

-In an epidural, an indwelling catheter may be placed that avails for additional injections later, while a spinal is almost always a one-shot only.

-The onset of analgesia is approximately 15–30 minutes in an epidural, while it is approximately 5 minutes in a spinal.

-An epidural often does not cause as significant neuromuscular block unless specific local anaesthetics are used which block motor fibres as readily as sensory nerve fibres, while a spinal more often does.

-An epidural may be given at a cervical, thoracic, or lumbar site, while a spinal must be injected below L2 to avoid piercing the spinal cord.

My friend had told me her spinal block was great. It worked fast and afterwards she was able to recover faster. And she was right. As soon as they did it, I got numb from the boobies down to my toes. I did not feel a thing. All I felt was the table rocking.

My arms were spread eagle for the procedure. And someone had told me you shake and I did. I had asked the anesthesiologist why this happens and he explained that it is a common side affect of the medicine or also because the OR is kept cold your body will shake after you have the baby. You go from carrying a baby to not, you loose blood, the placenta comes out, etc... I shook cause I was really cold. It all went really fast but then really slow, if you know what I mean. I went in, and next thing you know we are there, and its happening and you are just in shock that it is happening. The procedure started, and that fast the baby was born.

At 10:18 am, my lil bit was born. Then it took until 10:45 for me to be sown back up and the c-section to be over. I was in recovery by 11 am. I did not feel when the baby came out. I only heard them say it. Then afterwards my husband came and showed me our baby. I heard what the doctors were saying and in the end they came and told me congratulations and that everything went well.

Pregnancy Diaries ~ What to pack for the hospital ~ Mommy Bag

Mommy bag needs to be packed and ready to go. You need to have it ready because you do not know when the baby will come. I suggest you pack 1 month before. I was due on January 12. Then I was told I would have my C-section on January 5. And then surprised with, the date being moved to December 22. I had one week to get everything ready and trust me, we were not ready for all the things we were about to face. I asked my friends and goggled what to pack since it has been a long time. There are items you will and will not need. Some people have preferences of items but my checklist before and after are totally different. I packed some things I did not need and did not pack all I needed. Here are my suggestions (keep in mind I was a planned c-section):

Checking In-
-Admission forms or registration papers-my doctor registered me so I did not need to bring any papers.
-Insurance card-with the rush of everything I forgot mine but luckily my information was pre-registered into their system. Again luckily!
-Picture ID-I was asked for this for registration and then after when we were being discharged.

Labor-
-Lip balm/chapstick-Your lips will get dry. Mine were not that bad at first.
-Hair bands or clips-You will want to have your hair pulled back for your entire stay, during labor and delivery, and when visitors show up. Pulling it back is as much as you can do.

Delivery-
-Camera-You will want to capture every moment possible. Don't forget to charge or bring batteries.

For Your Stay
-Toiletries-toothpaste/tooth brush, small shower items (shampoo), my hospital provided Dial soap in my shower. And they had plenty of towels. You will want to take a shower before you leave or during your stay. Bring a hair brush to comb out your hair. Dont forget the deoderant.
-Outfit to wear home–Check the weather and make sure you pack something that will be comfortable. I wore leggings, a nursing gown, small sweater, socks, and slippers.
-Don't forget the nursing bra if you will nurse. Or a comfy bra.
-Compression socks-My feet were and are still swollen. My compression socks have helped keep the swelling down.

For Your Partner's Stay-
-Toiletries-You and husband can share, so pack wisely
-Change of clothes-My husband brought comfies to sleep in, and gym shorts for the day.

Here are items I suggest you dont need, you may want to pack, but I didnt need them.
-Bathrobe-I used an extra hospital gown as mine. Plus everyday the hospital gave me a clean one.
-Non-skid slippers or socks-The hospital gave me some.
-Nightgown-I slept in my hospital gown everyday. I got a clean one everyday. Plus in my situation I would have ruined my clothes. It was easier access for me with the IVs I was connected to.
-Makeup bag-I did not have time to get all dolled up during my stay. Even when we were leaving it was not a priority.
-Pillow-I had 2 pillows provided by the hospital. And so did my husband.
-“Granny” panties-The hospital provides disposable underwear. And it is wonderful. It fits over your incision and your belly.
-Pads-My hospital provided me with 3 different sizes, all I had to do was ask for more.
-Nursing Pads-My hospital provided them for me. They even gave me Lanolin.
-Extra blanket/s-My hospital provided me and my husband with extra, we just had to ask. Your husband may want to bring a nice warm one with a soft pillow, just for comfort.
-Snacks-I could not before I arrived to the hospital and for 24 hours after. But when I could order my food, I ordered plenty and then some. You may not like the food from the hospital so my only suggestion would be for someone to bring you outside food for you and your husband.

Again, these are only suggestions. I over packed some things I did not need and did not pack what I really needed. I hope this helps.

So this week I am 36 weeks pregnant, and I have not taken any pregnancy pictures. With my son, I never took any pics and I have about 3 total with my little bump. This time I told myself I would embrace the belly no matter how small or big I got. One thing though, I did not want to spend an arm and a leg for them. I have wonderful friends who love to take pictures and they always come out awesome. See I think they take better pictures than professionals because they know how we want to look in the pics. So I asked my bestfriend to take my pictures, and here are her creations. What do you think?

I do not think you need a professional. You need someone who can take pics, good camera, and a good location. Find your poses. I looked online, and found some cute ones I could work with. I asked my friend to take them. We drove around looking for great sceneraries and this is what we came up with. Nothing too fancy, but free.

Pregnancy Diaries ~ Baby Bag

So one of the things I need to get ready is the diaper bag for the baby. It has been 13 years since I have done this. So I asked a couple of friends who recently had babies to tell me what do they pack, or what did they pack their baby bag?

Here were the suggestions I received, and what I have packed in my baby's bag:

1) Baby wipes-I did not remember that hospitals only use wet towels to wipe the babies butty.

2) Baby Going Home Outfit-Not sure if it will be cold or not when we come out because our weather is crazy here, so I packed 2. I packed a onesie with sleeves. A cute little top with pant bottoms. I also packed socks, mittens, and a hat. Another thing I packed was a sweater, one with a hoodie and one without.

3) Baby blanket-I am packing a baby blanket to cover her car seat with when leaving the hospital, or cover.

4) Car Seat-Can't leave home without it.

So bare necessities, I understand the hospital gives you diapers, and anything else you need for the baby. So no extra stuff for me...

Am I missing something?

Pregnancy Diaries ~ The baby is coming

So sorry I have been so distant lately but I was told the baby is coming. Shocker, right. If you have been following my pregnancy you know that I have been on high risk the entire time. It has been a very difficult time for myself, my husband, family, friends, and co-workers. At 14 weeks, when I almost lost my baby girl, my world turned upside down. I have been as careful as can be, so that I can go full term to see my baby girl. Well I been under very good care with my OB/GYN and my Fetal Specialist. My visit have been very fun. We get to see the baby and things couldn't have been better when we scheduled our c-section for January 5, 2012. But this week, I went to the doctor and guess what? The baby is coming on Thursday, December 22. Now tell me that you would not be shocked to find this out. We thought we had more time to prepare and get ready but we don't. She will be here in 6 days. So we are rushing to get ready for baby girl. Until next time...

TARTA DE CHOCOLATE BLANCO PARA LAS FIESTAS

Ingredientes

8 onzas de queso crema bajo en grasa, ablandado
1/4 taza de chocolate blanco finamente picado y derretido
Hornear un molde de 9 pulgadas de pasta para pie de nuez cremosa
3 tazas de uvas rojas y verdes de California sin semillas.
¼ de taza de conserva de albaricoque
2 cucharadas de brandy
Pedacitos o risos de chocolate blanco.

Preparación

Bata el queso crema con una batidora eléctrica hasta que esté suave y esponjoso. Agregue el chocolate blanco y bata hasta que se mezcle. Unte la mezcla de chocolate con crema de queso en el fondo del molde con la pasta de tarta ya horneada. Coloque las uvas en la mezcla de queso crema. Caliente la conserva hasta que se derrita; mezcle. Añada el brandy y mezcle bien. Glasee las uvas con la mezcla de albaricoque y brandy. Decore con trocitos o rizos de chocolate blanco. Refrigere hasta que esté listo para servir. Rinde para 12 porciones.

Sugerencias Para Servir
Pasta de nuez cremosa: Bata hasta hacer una crema ½ de mantequilla, 2 cucharadas de azúcar, ½ cucharadita de vainilla y 1/8 cucharadita de sal. Mezcle en una taza de harina y 2 cucharadas de almendras finamente picadas hasta que la mezcla se asemeja a la harina de maíz. Estire en el fondo y los lados de un molde de 9 pulgadas para pie. Hornee a 400 ° F 10 a 15 minutos o hasta que la masa este ligeramente dorada.

SANGRÍA
Ingredientes
1 botella de vino tinto, seco, de cuerpo completo

Who didn’t watch the #AMAs last night? Our very own COVERGIRL spokesperson Taylor Swift won the biggest award of the night, Artist of the Year! She wore a Reem Acra dress and COVERGIRL’s NatureLuxe Silk Foundation for her popular soft natural look created by Lorrie Turk. In addition, COVERGIRL had the honor of teaming up with Katy Perry’s makeup artist, Jake Bailey, for her unique look. Katy, wearing Vivienne Westwood on the red carpet, was awarded a special AMA for having five #1 singles in 1 album. Congrats to both of these beautiful young talented ladies on behalf of COVERGIRL! Below you will find the details on how their glam looks were achieved using COVERGIRL’s latest along with official photos attached.

Taylor Swift’s look at the AMA’s by makeup artist, Lorrie Turk

· The American Music Awards Show itself was the inspiration for Taylor's look. I wanted to reflect the youthful, fun vibe of this event.

· With a foundation brush, I smoothed CoverGirl's Natureluxe Silk Foundation onto her skin followed by a dab of concealer on the inner corners of her eyes. I applied the concealer with the tip of my ring finger in a patting motion. CG TruBlend Minerals Blush in Shimmering Sands was used along the cheekbones to add highlight and color.

· With a dampened eyeshadow brush, I brushed on COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Tapestry Taupe from her lash line to just above her crease and blended that in an up and outward motion. On the innermost corners of her eyes, I applied COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Snow blossom with a small damp brush to brighten and highlight her eyes. I lined just the tops on her lash line with a very thin line using COVERGIRL LineExact Liquid Liner in Very Black. I finished her eyes by applying a couple of coats of COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara in Very Black to her upper and lower lashes.

· I applied COVERGIRL ShineBlast Lipgloss in Dazzle directly from the applicator wand and then put it in her purse for any possible touchups later in the evening.

Katy Perry’s look at the AMA’s by makeup artist, Jake Bailey

· I wanted to do a sophisticated twist on the "classic Katy" look to complement the Vivienne Westwood couture dress. We went extra dramatic with the signature liquid liner and lashes and went for a coral (orangey) red as opposed to a classic red to pick up on some accents in the dress.

· I perfected her skin by buffing a liquid foundation onto her skin using a large kabuki brush and set it with a dusting of Guerlain's Les Viollettes loose powder. I warmed her complexion with a tawny blush from nars called "madly" and swirled a tiny bit of a coral shimmer blush called "orgasm"...also from Nars on the apples of her cheeks for a little extra glow.

· I elongated her eyes using a liquid liner marker from Le Metier. Then, I applied 2 sets of strip lashes and coated them with 2 coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast 24HR mascara (available in January!). This is an extra rich formula that lasts forever. I've been using this on all my clients for red carpets lately since I can’t always be with them for touch ups. I lined her lower lashline with COVERGIRL LiquilineBlast eyeliner in "violet voltage" I softened it by blending it out with a small shadow brush.

· I used a bright coral red, COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in "flame". This was the perfect color to pick up on the dresses coral accents and complemented her pink hair :) I had Katy apply the lipstick directly from the tube and I refined the edges using a small lipstick brush.

Do you know about your hair? How much do you know about your hair? I was invited to learn from a celebrity stylist about hair, especially my hair, hair color, and what's in for this holiday season.

I learned about Clairol Natural Instincts and how it can help you and me transform our looks this Holiday season. Celebrity stylist Carlos Vera, who is currently Thalia’s hairstylist and has worked with celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Shakira, gave us tips on our hair, shared stories, and talked to us about hair color.

-When dying your hair. Make sure you wash your hair first.
-Only dye your hair, 2 shades lighter than your own for a more natural look.
-Air dry is better than blow dry.
-For the fall, go natural with your natural color or close to it.
-Stop using gel, I was a culprit of this but luckily I have stopped.
-Wash your hair at least every 2 to 3 days, so you don't dry it out.

He even checked out my hair and gave me a one on one.

-I dyed my hair for my bestfriend's wedding like 2 weeks ago. Carlos was able to tell me it was a bad job. I actually have 2 colors in my hair. It doesn't look natural. It has dried my hair out.
-He also showed me how to wear my hair. Swoop to the left, or swoop the right, split in the middle.
-He also told me to wear my curls without adding product to it.
-To help my dried out hair after shampooing, conditioning, air drying, get a small amount in my hands of conditioner and add it to my hair for extra moisture, and conditioning throughout the day.

The evening was so nice getting all the secrets from a celebrity stylist.

My thoughts-This movie is a Christmas movie that the entire family will enjoy. It is original. I like all the characters. And I my favorite is the gift wrapping elf!! My son's was Arthur of course. It was very entertaining, and perfect for the season.

My thoughts-I loved the Muppets growing up. I am a true fan. Especially of Kermit and Ms. Piggy who were my favorites. The moview was really cute to see the characters we grew up with back again on screen. I like the twist put on this movie and that it was a musical act. My son enjoyed it as well. Great movie for all the entire family to enjoy. It will make you want to sing along!

Pregnancy Diaries ~ Week 32

If you are wondering, yes this is me. I am 32 weeks pregnant this week. And I was the Maid of Honor in my bestfriend's wedding this past weekend. It was a wonderful, crazy weekend and we all survived.

Mommy and Baby Update: I went to the doctor last week and everything has not changed. I gained another 3 lbs in these last 2 weeks. On Friday, I went to the Fetal Specialist for an ultrasound. Lil Bit is weighing in at 4 lbs. Just a little over average, so just right. She looks good. Mommy on the other hand still has Placenta Previa. Now the doctors are concerned with the placenta attaching or growing into the Uterus. If this would happen I would have to have a hysterectomy right after I deliver the baby by C-section. So for sure, we are having a C-section. Right now it could be an emergency one or if we make it that far, a scheduled c-section for the first week in January.

Bringing the spirit of the season early to Houstonians, Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation will be hosting the “12 Days of Arthur Christmas” events throughout the Houston area. Starting with the Houston Galleria Ice Spectacular on November 12th and ending with Santa’s Snow Day at Edwards Grand Palace on November 23rd, guests will merry as they participate in the multitude of festivities which includes Arthur lighting the Galleria Christmas tree, an elf invasion at Discovery Green’s FUNonmenal Family Festival, story time and meet-and-greet with Santa, winter wonderland experience at the Downtown Aquarium and a rockin’ holiday party at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Ever wonder how Santa delivers 2 billion presents in one night? “Arthur Christmas” answers the question… and Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation are helping local residents find their holiday spirit.

WHAT: Join Arthur as he celebrates the kickoff of the “12 Days of Arthur Christmas” at the Houston Galleria. 3 tazas de coco rallado ligero
1 bolsa (1 lb 1.5 oz) de mezcla para galletas dulces Betty Crocker®
1/2 taza de leche condensada y endulzada (no evaporada)
1/2 a 1 cucharadita de extracto de almendras
1 cucharadita de cremor tártaro
2 claras de huevo

Glaseado
2 tazas de chispas de chocolate semidulce (12 oz)
1 cucharada de manteca vegetal
1/3 taza de nuez de macadamia finamente picada

1. Precalienta el horno a 350°F. Forra charolas para hornear con papel para hornear. En el procesador de alimentos, muele el coco finamente.
2. En un tazón grande, revuelve el coco y la mezcla para galletas dulces. Añade la leche condensada y el extracto de almendra; mezcla bien. La pasta debe ser suave y quebradiza. Añade y revuelve el cremor tártaro.
3. En un tazón pequeño, bate las claras de huevo con la batidora eléctrica a velocidad mediana hasta que puedas formar picos. Incorpora las claras de huevo en la pasta. Ingredients:
3 cups lightly packed shredded coconut
1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
1/2 to 1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 egg whites
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (12 oz)
1 tablespoon shortening
1/3 cup macadamia nuts, finely chopped

Directions
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with cooking parchment paper. Using food processor, process coconut until finely ground.
2. In large bowl, stir together coconut and cookie mix. Add sweetened condensed milk and almond extract; mix well. Mixture will be crumbly. Stir in cream of tartar.
3. In small bowl, beat egg whites with electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form. Fold egg whites into cookie mixture. Using 1 1/2 tablespoon-size cookie scoop, firmly pack with coconut mixture and place mound on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining coconut, placing mounds 2 inches apart. Press each mound to flatten slightly.
4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges just begin to lightly brown (do not overbake). Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
5. In 1-quart nonstick saucepan, melt chocolate chips and shortening over medium heat, stirring until chocolate is melted. Dip each cooled cookie halfway into melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place on sheet of parchment paper; sprinkle chocolate portion with nuts. Let stand until chocolate sets, about 1 hour. Store between sheets of parchment paper in tightly covered container.

Ingredients:
1 large English (seedless) cucumber, chilled
2/3 cup sun-dried tomato spread
6 tablespoons crumbled Queso Fresco Cheese
Fresh basil leaves, if desired

Directions
1. Make lines or indentations lengthwise down cucumber at 1/4-inch intervals, using vegetable peeler or tines of fork. Cut cucumber into 32 slices, 1/2 inch each. Place on paper towels to drain.

CoverGirl Taylor Swift #speaknow Concert in Houston

So, you know that every mother wants to take their little girl to their first concert. I, thanks to CoverGirl, was able to take baby Gia to her first concert. And not to any concert but to America's Sweetheart of a girl, the nicest, most darling person, Taylor Swift. Yes, I know baby Gia is in the womb but music is great for her. She loves it. You got to love Taylor, the girl who just would not give up on her dream. At age 11, she made a demo and handed it to every label in Nashville, but was rejected. And so I am glad that I was able to take my baby Gia to meet Taylor Swift.

Backstage experience was awesome. We were escorted to this room that look like it was made for a princess. There was food and drinks available for us while we waited. We even got to take pictures with the famous Valentine's bear...

And after a short wait, beind the curtain was the one and only, Taylor Swift! She was so glad to meet my baby Gia. Check out our pic, which was taken by a professional and we were able to retrieve it for Free.

Thanks to CoverGirl, not only did we get to meet Taylor Swift backstage before her concert. We were able to receive a CoverGirl makeover. It was so nice. There were 4 CoverGirl beauty stations.

And of course all the little girls wanted to get their make up done. Including me. Who doesn't want to be a CoverGirl?

Taylor talked to us during the concert, all 42,000 of us. A sold out concert. And everyone in there was a true fan. She even walked down and shook hands with some of her guests along the aisles. She got up and personal when she headed towards the crowd to sing on a tree with her guitars. And one thing I did noticed was that her skin was flawless from beginning to end. Even on the close ups! But of course, She's a CoverGirl!

El Dia de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead), a Mexican celebration, is a day to celebrate, remember and prepare special foods in honor of those who have departed. On this day in Mexico, the streets near the cemeteries are filled with decorations of papel picado , flowers, candy calaveras (skeletons and skulls), and parades. It is believed that the spirit of the dead visit their families on October 31 and leave on November 2. In order to celebrate, the families make altars and place ofrendas (offerings) of food such as pan de muertos baked in shapes of skulls and figures, candles, incense, yellow marigolds known as cempazuchitl (also spelled zempasuchil) and most importantly a photo of the departed soul is placed on the altar. Death is laughed at in its face. Many euphemisms are used for death, La calaca (the skeleton), la pelona ("baldy"), la flaca ("skinny"), and la huesada ("bony"). There are refranes, sayings, and poems that are popular with day of the dead. These sayings are cliches and lose meaning when translated. For example "La muerte es flaca y no puede conmigo" means "Death is skinny/weak and she can't carry me." Calaveras (skulls) are decorated with bright colors with the name of the departed inscribed on the head. Children carrying yellow marigolds enjoy the processions to the cemetery. At the cemetery, music is played and dances are made to honor the spirits.

2012 Chevy Traverse ~ Diamond Edition Review

So I had the wonderful opportunity to test drive a 2012 Chevy Traverse ~ Diamond Edition for 2 whole weeks. We are a Chevy family. And were very glad to be able to test drive the Traverse. Check out my favortie features:

-compartments-I love all the extra compartments. I like that I can keep items hidden or tucked away in the Traverse.
-steering wheel-I love that the steering wheel moves up and down, and in and out. It adjusted to fit my pregnant belly.
-3rd row-I love the 3rd row seating. I like that you can fit adults, comfortably in the back. The Traverse is made to fit adult legs.
-rear AC-My son loved this. He was able to control the temperature in the back for all the back seat passengers. No more freezing mom to keep the back cool.
-Rear Space-The 3rd row can easily be folded down for space. And there are easy to use latches to pull the seats back to where they belong. I especially like this because I am short and the belly. There is also a hidden compartment back here.
-heated and cooled seats-Houston weather, you never know which button you may need this Fall.
-10 to 12 cup holders

This vehicle is a crossover. For those people who need the van space but want a kinda car/suv look, Traverse is for you. Most guys wont get caught in the uncool mommy vehicle, but this is one is cool enough so says my husband. Not your typical mommy vehicle. And best of all, it seats 8.

I have bee "hooked" on these since my husband first would play them over and over. Until I watch the movie, I did not know what the fuss was all about. •At the Casa Grande plant, we’ve implemented technologies to recycle water, generate electricity and steam from renewable energy sources, achieved LEED certification and succeeded in sending nearly zero waste to the landfill.
•At all of our facilities, we reuse our shipping cartons up to six times before recycling them to help reduce waste. All Frito-Lay manufacturing plants are striving to divert at least 99% of waste from landfills.
•Frito-Lay added 1,200+ fuel-efficient Sprinter vehicles to its fleet along with converting 650 sales cars to hybrid vehicles to help reduce emissions. Now, we’re even using all electric route delivery trucks in some of our metropolitan markets.

They also have a Chip in for Change program which donates $0.02 per bag collected (all Frito-Lay brands and sizes are included) to a school or non-profit organization chosen by each Chip Bag Brigade. Recycling and helping a area schools, I like that.

This is me at week 28.

How am I feeling?

I am tired. This last trimester is the one I was dreading the most, and now I see why. I actually am so tired when I hit the bed, I knock out. And when I wake up, I feel like a thousand bricks fell on me. My bones hurt really bad. And not to mention that my feet will not go back to normal. This morning my shows don't even fit. The ones I bought for this pregnancy, one size bigger, with all the cushion, and padding.

How is baby girl?

Her moves are getting more and more visible. Even though she plays hide and go seek with everyone who tries to feel her. Daddy has felt her power a couple of times now. He loves to wake her up, and get her all worked up. it is cute to see them play together.

News?

I am in my bestfrieed's wedding that is in 2 weeks, and I am the Maid of Honor. This weekend was the bachelorette weekend, and I am so glad that is over with. I still have not received my dress, that needs to be severely doctored to fit my 7 month pregnant self. I am trying not to stress over that but we will see how long I can stay this calm.

Dr Visits?

I have a check up scheduled this week with my OB/GYN. We will see what the doctor says. I know I have to go see the Fetal Specialist again but they have not called to schedule my appointment. Can't wait to see baby girl again.

The popular television reporter from Univision’s “Sal y Pimienta” show looked radiant in a silver dress by Mandalay and black heels by Christian Louboutin. The show was presented by CoverGirl & Pantene as all the models rocked the latest makeup and hair styling products from these two iconic beauty brands. Isabel Toledo’s runway show for Spring 2012 took place in the historic Moore Building in the Design District and was her first time ever showing in Miami. She currently also has a collection partnership with Payless. In attendance were Miami’s top beauty bloggers and editors along with VIPs such as actresses Marlene Favela and Geraldine Bazan, Isabel’s husband and co-designer Ruben Toledo, Vanidades Editor-in-Chief Jacqueline Blanco, fashion designer Adriana Castro, singer Elijah King, and the “My CoverGirl” sweepstakes winner Jany Rodriguez.

Makeup artist Jessica Rivera tells us how she managed Lourdes’ look backstage using COVERGIRL:
